Very Artificial Poetry #4

Most days of my project #500daysofAI I post articles that attempts to grapple with researchers, research articles, whitepapers and companies within the field of artificial intelligence. However I decided to make an effort to write poetry once in a while. This is that ‘once in a while’ day, and so I hope you enjoy this poem or that this short text makes you stop and think for a second. I would of course be happy to receive any sort of feedback if you feel inclined to give. Here we go.

They told me it was natural
At least that was the classification
And since the results were statistically significant
It was deemed as clear results

People love conflict it said
The algorithms of the reinforcement learning
Questionable goals aside
With nothing to hide

If you have nothing to hide that is…
With transparent decision-making looming
Black box or look-through — behind digital curtains
The humming melody of infrastructure and politics

Tricks of the mind or tricks of the trade
I became unsure at some point of the distinction
Amongst the distinctions and qualifications
Of the brightest minds of several nations

A tool or a creation.

This is #500daysofAI and you are reading article 199. I write one new article about or related to artificial intelligence every day for 500 days.
